BellaBear's Adventure

We have a dog named BellaBear. She’s black, almost 2 years old and is some kind of Husky/Collie mix, maybe. Bella has hip dysplasia and likes to go for walks every morning. Often time, she & I will have an adventure while on our walk. This is one of those adventures: a few months ago, we noticed a friendly tan dog across the street from where we walk. I referred to this dog as Pluto, of course, Bella didn’t understand the reference :-) One day, Pluto got so excited to see Bella, he decided to leap his backyard fence, run across the street (yikes!) and play with us. Of course, we worked our way back across the street to Pluto’s house where I knocked on the door. His owner came out and was very surprised to find that Zoey had gotten out of her backyard. She thanked me and Bella & I continued on our walk.
We were kinda sad because we didn’t see Pluto/Zoey for a while – we could hear her barking in the backyard (she was now on a tie-out cable). But one day, Zoey couldn’t contain her excitement anymore! She apparently uprooted the twisty stake from the ground and leaped over the fence again, stake and cable in tow (luckily she didn’t hang or choke herself). We were happy to play with her again but had to walk her back home. Once again, her owner was surprised Zoey got out. We’ve seen her at least one more time since then. She’s a sweet but rambunctious little dog but Bella & I are always happy to see her.
